Dominique Hamler, RN, MSN, BSN

Executive Director

Dominique is a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and raised in Monroe, Louisiana. From a young age, she knew her calling was to become a nurse and positively impact the lives of others. After completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Gambling State University in 1999, Dominique embarked on an incredible journey in the field of healthcare. Her career began as an RN at North Monroe Hospital, where she gained invaluable experience and honed her skills. Seeking new challenges and opportunities, she ventured to Los Angeles, California, as a travel RN, expanding her knowledge and cultural awareness. In 2009, Dominique found her true passion in the Intensive Care Unit of Dignity Health Glendale Memorial Hospital, where she provided exceptional care to critically ill patients. Recognized for her leadership qualities and unwavering dedication, Dominique progressed within the organization. In 2014, she assumed the role of Administrative Nursing Supervisor, overseeing nursing operations. Her exceptional skills led her to be appointed Nurse Manager of the Behavioral Health Unit in 2017, where she fostered a therapeutic environment and championed mental health awareness. In 2021, Dominique's expertise and commitment to patient care propelled her to the position of Director of Nursing for the Behavioral Health Unit and Nursing Administration. As an advocate for mental health, she strives to eliminate stigmas surrounding mental illness, offering a healing touch and unwavering compassion to those in need.

Beyond her professional achievements, Dominique finds joy in various activities. She relishes the healing power of music, enjoys dancing, and finds solace in nature through hiking. Dominique's educational journey reached new heights with a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Development from Western Governors University, enhancing her knowledge, and enabling her to mentor and educate others. As a patient rights advocate, she is committed to ensuring every individual receives the highest standard of care and is empowered to make informed decisions about their health.

Dr. Haroon Headshot

Haroon Burhanullah, MD

Psychiatrist

Dr. M. Haroon Burhanullah is a board-certified psychiatrist with experience in consultation psychiatry, emergency psychiatry, and geriatric neuropsychiatry. He graduated from Dow Medical College in Pakistan before completing postdoctoral work in neuroimaging at Johns Hopkins University.

He has published in several peer-reviewed journals, including the highly respected American Journal of Geriatric Psychiatry. Dr. Burhanullah is deeply committed to treating each patient with utmost care and respect. He is passionate about working with the most vulnerable patients, including those with moderate to severe behavioral problems whose families often suffer from caregiver burnout.

Adrina Wilson, LMFT #107939

Clinical Director

Adrina (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has extensive experience working within culturally diverse communities who struggle with mental health both in maintenance therapy (Private Practice), crisis management, and acute services (wraparound, IOP, and PHP programming). Prior to joining LAOP as Clinical Director, Adrina served as Director of Mental Health at St. Joseph Center in Venice Beach, California. Here, she gained experience in working with unhoused individuals struggling with chronic mental illnesses while also honing her leadership skills. She focused primarily on executing special project grants from the county, clinically supervising associates, and performing many additional roles. Adrina also has experience in quality assurance (county audits and ethical documentation), crisis response with the LA County Psychiatric Emergency Team (LPS trained), and field-based community health.

 

Her passion is working with complex trauma, grief and loss, psychosis, ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Adrina has a particular passion for working with LGBTQIA+ individuals sparked from lived experience as a queer-identified individual. Adrina focuses on meeting clients and staff with empathy, compassion, and patience. She aims to highlight growth, stability, and healing for each person she works with.

 

Adrina currently serves as LAOP's Clinical Director, where she focuses on leading a diverse clinical team, creating and maintaining a safe environment for all clients and staff, maintaining clinical documentation standards, and ensuring that the clinical curriculum is both evidence-based and dynamic to meet each potential and current client's mental health needs.

 

Adrina has certifications in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Seeking Safety, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Adrina also consistently works on continuing her education by attending trainings, working with her colleagues, and keeping up with the latest research and literature in the mental health space.

 

A fun fact about Adrina is that she grew up in Las Vegas and worked in the live entertainment industry for her young adult life. Here, she worked as a lighting and special effects designer (pyrotechnics) and on cruise ships, theatres, and large event spaces. This experience continues to add to Adrina's ability to work in the clinical space as efficient, creative, and open-minded.

Tracey Bledsoe-Brewer, LMFT #140611

Therapist

Tracey graduated from Pepperdine University, where she earned a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. After a successful career in advertising, Tracey knew she had a higher and more purposeful calling. Having observed her parents’ lifestyle of giving back, Tracey decided to transition to a more fulfilling career that would allow her to serve humanity.   

Since graduating from Pepperdine, Tracey has developed a skill set that lends itself to engaging and working with diverse individuals and their families (adults, young adults, children, families, at-risk children, and teens and the TAY population, etc.) who have experienced severe emotional pain and multiple traumas. Tracey is an Integrative Therapist who utilizes primarily client-centered, humanistic approaches to assist clients and is motivated to provide optimal mental health services to all her clients.  Tracey looks forward to making a difference each and every day. 

Orlando Romo, LMFT #143857

Therapist

Orlando is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He has worked in diverse sectors and held different roles within the mental health field, including Residential Therapist, Outpatient Primary Therapist, Program and Case Manager, Psychiatric Social Worker, and Clinical Court Evaluator, to name a few. He has worked with children, adolescents, and adults with different needs and diagnoses, including Autism Spectrum, Anxiety, Depression, SUD, Trauma, Dual-Diagnoses, LGBTQIA+ issues, and BIPOC issues. He uses Person-Centered, CBT, DBT, and Mindfulness approaches with his clients.   

  

Orlando was born and raised in the San Fernando Valley in Los Angeles County, where he currently resides. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Family Studies with an emphasis in Family Services from California State University, Northridge in 2014, and Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Pepperdine University in 2018. Orlando has always been drawn to the helping professions. The guidance he received from his undergraduate professors, who were LMFTs, ignited his passion for the field.

Yami Rivas, LMFT #123009

Therapist

Yami holds a Master of Arts degree in Marital and Family Therapy and has been practicing as a therapist for a decade. She adopts an eclectic approach, tailoring her methods to suit the individual needs and circumstances of her clients. Her toolkit includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused, Psychodynamic, and Structural Family Therapy. Over the years, Yami has worked with adults, families, couples, adolescents, and children, helping them navigate challenges such as depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief/loss, trauma, substance abuse, ADHD, and life transitions.  

  

With experience in community mental health agencies, forensics (Bureau of Prisons), and private practice, Yami has honed her skills in working with a culturally diverse population. Yami is deeply committed to supporting others on their journey to mental health and wellness. She recognizes the daily struggles and unexpected stressors that people face. Yami approaches her work with a trauma-informed lens and utilizes a strength-based approach, empowering her clients to overcome challenges and achieve their goals. Yami is also fluent in Spanish, allowing her to serve a diverse range of clients.  

  

Outside of her professional life, Yami enjoys playing softball and loves salsa dancing and kickboxing. She also cherishes spending time with her family, nieces, and nephews. 

Jessica Hernandez

Program Director

Jessica Hernandez is the Program Director at The Los Angeles Outpatient Center with 4+ years of experience helping individuals find themselves within their mental health and eating disorder struggles. Specializing in client advocacy and client support, Jessica uses that experience to manage the day-to-day PHP/IOP therapeutic programming.

By focusing on client care and support, Jessica has been able to consult with a wide range of health professionals to target the overall goal of The Los Angeles Outpatient Center. Over the years, Jessica has strived for client and staff growth. Jessica has garnered recognition by always taking the initiative when help is needed. Jessica may spend her days at The Los Angeles Outpatient Center, but client satisfaction and growth is what gets her up in the morning eager to support anyone who walks in. When they’re not at the center, Jessica is an avid hiker, always looking for a scenic view, and loves spending time with her family and friends.

Tonda Williams

Director of Admissions

As a Director of Admissions, Tonda brings over twenty years of experience in the Mental Health and Substance Abuse industry. Her passion has always been to be a guiding light for those on their path of healing. Tonda's experience provides compassion and reassurance for the client and their loved ones during this difficult time. Tonda has unique and extensive skills for developing and managing admissions teams by bringing a valued perspective to always reflect best in class. Over the years, Tonda has established herself as a trusted and respected leader in the behavioral health community.

 

Throughout her extensive tenure, Tonda has honed a unique blend of compassion, insight, and strategic acumen, offering invaluable support and reassurance to clients and their families navigating the challenging terrain of behavioral health. Her exceptional ability to cultivate and lead admissions teams reflects a deep-seated understanding of the nuances inherent in admissions processes, consistently striving for excellence and setting unparalleled standards in the field.

Driven by the belief that "reassuring hope is the most treasured gift you can ever give to someone," Tonda remains steadfast in her mission to empower individuals on their journey towards recovery, leaving an indelible mark on the lives she touches and embodying the essence of compassionate leadership in every endeavor she undertakes.

 

When not fulfilling her passion, Tonda finds solace and joy in the company of her family. She enjoys nature through skiing, fishing, and hiking in Mammoth Lakes, California. Additionally, she cherishes moments with sunset walks along the beach, rejuvenating her spirit.

Katie Gregory

VP of Business Development

Katie Gregory is a proven leader in business development and driving growth. She brings over 30 years of experience in the mental health and chemical dependency field, having held executive management roles in both national and international companies, including Executive Director, Bridges to Recovery; Co-Owner, Insight Adolescent Treatment Programs; Owner, Psychiatric Supportive Living; creating and building, Solara Mental Health, San Diego. Her track record includes successful management and revenue generation, notably contributing to the acquisition of Bridges to Recovery by Constellation Behavioral Health and their global expansion as Senior International Strategic Advisor.

Katie is thrilled to lead business development and leverage her network to expand Centered Health’s reach and further its goal of delivering transformative care to those in need. In her free time, Katie can be found in Topanga, California working on her passion project creating and designing living spaces and making art through pottery and photography influenced by Mexican cultures. She also enjoys hiking with her movie-worthy Mexican street dog, Mango.
