Crissy Luna

Trauma-Informed Yoga Therapist

Crissy is a behavioral interventionist and trauma-informed yoga therapist who specializes in integrating evidence-based therapeutic techniques with yoga’s mind-body practices to support mental wellness. She takes a holistic approach that addresses psychological well-being through cultural understanding and social justice, recognizing that individual healing is deeply connected to broader contexts of systemic oppression, historical trauma, and community resilience.

Her work combines trauma-informed yoga therapy with behavioral interventions, focusing on emotional regulation, resilience, and the development of adaptive coping strategies. Grounded in mindfulness practices and somatic movement, Crissy’s sessions honor cultural diversity and lived experiences, offering clients a safe and supportive space for healing. She is committed to exploring the root causes of psychological distress, examining the impact of systemic racism and social marginalization on mental health.

Crissy received her behavioral health training through UCLA Extension and is a certified behavioral interventionist. Her yoga practice is rooted in the teachings of T. Krishnamacharya and T.K.V. Desikachar, further deepened by her study with the Optimal State Yoga Therapy School, affiliated with the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai, India. At Los Angeles Outpatient Center, Crissy is dedicated to empowering clients on their journey of personal healing and social liberation.
