Morris Clardie, LMFT
Morris has a master’s degree in Marriage and Family therapy with a specialization in Trauma and African American Studies. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, he has practiced and adopted an eclectic therapeutic approach that targets individual and family needs. Morris has experience with various modalities including, Solution-Focused, Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Structural Family Therapy, Mindfulness, and Psycho-Dynamic. Over the years working in mental health, Morris has worked with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. During treatment, Morris has helped his clients explore challenges such as anxiety, depression, anger, relationship issues, trauma, grief and loss, substance abuse, ADHD, Autism, and transitions through life. Morris was born and raised in Long Beach but currently resides in Los Angeles. He received his bachelor’s in psychology at San Diego State University and received his master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy with a specialization in Trauma and African American Studies at Pacific Oaks College in Pasadena. Prior to working at LAOP, Morris held positions as a Supervisor at an ABA company, Assistant supervisor and Site Coordinator at a non-profit organization targeting children, adolescents, and families in the surrounding communities. Morris has also held roles as a therapist in community health as well as in settings with children, teens, adults, and couples.
